The Income Effect of Grain Insurance——Based on the Data of China Rural Revitalization Survey
Based on the data of China Rural Revitalization Survey(CRRS),this paper empirically analyzes the impact of grain in-surance on farmers'income and its internal mechanism.It is found that purchasing grain insurance has a significant positive impact on farm household income.Heterogeneity analysis shows that the purchase of grain insurance has a significant effect on the income of farm households in large-scale operations and non-plain areas,and the income-boosting effect of grain insurance tends to de-crease with the increase of the quantile point.Mechanism analysis shows that the purchase of grain insurance affects the income level of farm households through the mechanism of expanding large-scale operations and promoting mechanized operations.There-fore,in order to safeguard the income level of farmers,we should improve the efficiency of insurance service and the level of grain insurance,give full play to the factor allocation function of insurance and fully release the income effect of grain insurance,im-prove farmers'awareness of insurance and meet their diversified risk protection needs.
