The experiment uses the difference-in-differences model to evaluate the impact of eight green finance reform and innovation pilot zones in five provinces of China on regional economic growth and carbon emission intensity. The results show that this policy promotes the growth of Real GDP in pilot areas and reduces carbon emission intensity, supporting the low-carbon transformation of the economy.By comparing the changes of the experimental group and the control group before and after the policy implementation, parallel trend tests, placebo tests and propensity score matching methods are conducted to verify the robustness of the results. The green finance reform and innovation pilot zone policy plays an active role in promoting regional economic development and achieving carbon emission reduction, and provides strong support for the"dual carbon"goal.Policy recommendations cover policy optimization and coordination, market development and innovation, considering regional differences and strengthening international cooperation, increasing public participation and technical support, etc.,providing a useful reference for improving the green finance policy system and promoting sustainable economic development, and helping to achieve a benign interaction between the economy and the environment.
