Forest Landscape Fragmentation Using MSPA in Huangshi
Revealing the fragmentation characteristics of forest landscapes serves as a prerequisite for formulating resto-ration decisions.Current analytical methods tend to focus on overall descriptions, making it difficult to accurately reflect local forest landscape fragmentation features from a spatial visualization perspective.Especially in urban areas, the conflict between forest restoration and degradation is prominent, resulting in even more complex fragmentation patterns. There is an urgent need for research on forest landscape fragmentation in urban areas. To address this issue,two-phase forest re-source management"one map"data and employs morphological spatial pattern analysis(MSPA)methods to construct a forest landscape fragmentation index. From a spatial visualization perspective, the study analyzes and reveals the fragmen-tation characteristics of the forest landscape in Huangshi.Based on these findings, technical measures are further proposed to address the fragmentation issues in Huangshi's forest landscapes. The research results contribute to bridging the current gap in spatial information within forest landscape pattern analysis and provide valuable references for forest landscape res-toration in Huangshi and similar regions.
