The Research Progress of Vitis vinifera Anthracnose
Vitis vinifera anthracnose is one of the most destructive Vitis vinifera diseases worldwide, primarily caused by Colletotrichum viniferum and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. It infects tender Vitis vinifera tissues such as branches,leav-es,and fruits. Its symptoms are characterized by the formation of circular or irregular dark brown spots, leading to fruit cracking and acid rot, resulting in reduced yield and quality.Control and prevention of Vitis vinifera anthracnose involve agricultural practices, chemical treatments, and biological control. This includes emphasizing orchard hygiene and proper cultivation management, using chemicals to kill the pathogens or inhibit spore germination, and employing biocontrol a-gents to suppress the growth and spread of the pathogens. However,Vitis vinifera anthracnose continues to pose challen-ges,especially with the potential increased risk of disease occurrence due to global warming. Therefore, future research should focus on breeding disease-resistant varieties, enhancing disease monitoring and prediction capabilities, and promo-ting green control technologies to more effectively manage and reduce the impact of Vitis vinifera anthracnose, ensuring the sustainable development of the Vitis vinifera industry.
