Meta-analysis of Bushen Yizhi Decoction in the Treatment of Vascular Dementia
Objective To systematically evaluate the efficiency of Bushen Yizhi Decoction in the treatment of Vascular Dementia by Meta analysis.Methods Computerized searches were con-ducted on CNKI,CQVIP,Wanfang Data,PubMed,and Embase,with the timeframe set to run from the establishment to November 2022.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,all the randomized controlled trials literature of Bushen Yizhi Decoction compared with western medicine in the treatment of Vascular Dementia were gathered.The two reviewers evaluated the paper quality after selected experiment,abstracted information and cross-checked inde-pendently.The overall efficacy,Mini-Mental State Examination,activity of daily living scale,Ha-segawa dementia scale,Berg balance scale,observation period and other data were extracted from the literature,and the RevMan 5.4 software was used for meta-analysis.Results 9 studies were enrolled in the research,included 1636 patients.The Meta-analysis showed that the total clinical efficacy rate of the test group[RR=1.37,95%CI(1.29,1.45),P<0.00001],the scores of the Brief Mental State Examination(MMSE)scale[MD = 2.79,95%CI(2.29,3.29),P<0.00001],the Hasegawa Dementia Scale(HDS)[MD=4.77,95%CI(4.04,5.50),P<0.00001],and Berg Balance Scale[MD=4.99,95%CI(1.14,8.84),P=0.01]were better than those of the control group.Conclusion Bushen Yizhi Decoction is effective in the treatment of Vascular De-mentia,which can improve the quality of patients'survival,and the therapeutic effect is higher than that of the western medicine group.
