A Meta-Analysis of Evaluating the Efficacy and Safety of Transversus Abdominis Plane Block in Laparoscopic Hysterectomy
Objective To evaluate the clinical effectiveness of Transversus Abdominis Plane Block(TAPB)in Laparoscopic Hysterectomy(LSH)through a Meta-analysis.Methods A com-prehensive search was conducted in databases including CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,China Biomedical Database,PubMed,Embase,Web of Science, and Cochrane Library, with data retrieval from the inception of each database until February 2024.A total of 15 retrospective studies involving 1187 patients who underwent LSH were selected.Data analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 software. Results Patients in the TAPB group showed a significant reduction in Fentanyl con-sumption(P<0.0001),shorter recovery time and hospital stay(P<0.0001),and significant de-creases in VAS pain scores at 2 hours,12 hours, and 24 hours postoperatively(P<0.0001).Addi-tionally,the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting was significantly lower in the TAPB group(P=0.001).Conclusion TAPB is highly effective and safe for patients undergoing LSH,al-though further studies are needed to provide additional support.
