The Application of Progressive Balance Training in Rehabilitation of Elderly Patients with Hip Fracture
Objective To explore the application effect of progressive balance training in rehabili-tation of elderly patients after hip fracture. Methods 150 elderly patients with hip fracture admit-ted to our hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected by convenient sampling method and divided into control group(n=75)and observation group(n=75)according to ran-dom number table method.Patients in the control group received routine nursing after surgery, and patients in the observation group received progressive balance training after surgery.Step length, step speed and hip joint score(Harris)of the two groups were calculated at 1 and 12 weeks after surgery, and Berg Balance Scale(BBS)scores and Barthel scores were calculated at 2,4,8 and 12 weeks after surgery, respectively. Results At 12 weeks after operation, the post-operative step length, step speed and Harris score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).At 2 weeks,4 weeks,8 weeks and 12 weeks after opera-tion,the BBS and Barthel scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions The application of progressive balance training is feasible and ef-fective in the rehabilitation of elderly patients after hip fracture surgery.
