Constructing the Discourse System of Comparative Vocational Education Research with Chinese Characteristics
Building a discourse system of comparative vocational education research with Chinese characteristics is an important mission of the discipline construction of comparative vocational education in China in the new era.The construction of the discourse system for comparative vocational education research with Chinese characteristics requires grasping three basic issues of the position premise,analytical framework,and value orientation of comparative vocational education research,as well as the key links related to them.In terms of position premise,comparative vocational education research has long been influenced by western centrism,leading to a lack of local awareness.It is necessary to reiterate China's position,propose research questions based on the localization practice of vocational education,and make solving local problems an important goal of comparative research,and actively apply the causal inference research paradigm aimed at theoretical innovation.In terms of analytical framework,the traditional national comparative vocational education research and analysis framework has certain limitations,while the Chinese Tianxia system analysis framework has certain advantages in addressing these shortcomings through holistic thinking,external thinking,and relational thinking.In terms of value orientation,there is a misconception in the research of comparative vocational education that modernization is equivalent to westernization.It is necessary to establish the international community for vocational education development with a shared future as a new mission for comparative vocational education research by transcending the binary understanding gap between different cultures of vocational education,and revealing the cultural imagination about a better society embedded in the vocational education systems of different countries.
