The promotion of the modernization of China's agriculture and rural areas is related to China's cur-rent development of building a modern socialist country in all respects.The modernization of agriculture and rural areas is an important measure to eliminate the existing imbalance and inadequacy of China's develop-ment,and it is also a necessary way to promote the high-quality development of agriculture and rural areas.It is of great significance to sort out and evaluate the current relevant policies.The paper analyzed 100 policies related to agricultural and rural modernization issued by China from 2012 to 2022,extracted high-frequency words from them using text mining,content analysis,etc.,and designed evaluation indexes of agricultural and rural modernization with reference to existing relevant policy indexes of other scholars,and evaluated four poli-cies of them quantitatively using the PMC Index Model.The results show that P1 and P2 are excellent,P3 and P4 are good;the overall quality of China's agricultural and rural modernization policies is good,but there is still some room for improvement;the higher the specificity of a policy is,the lower the score of the PMC index will be;and the higher the level of a policy's issuing unit is,the higher the score of the PMC index will be.
