Identification and Antimicrobial Activity Analysis of Endophytic Fungi Strain gyzy-9 from Cephalotaxus oliveri
In order to analyze the fermented products and detect the antimicrobial activity of the endophytic fungi strain gyzy-9 isolated from Cephalotaxus oliveri Mast, a rare and endangered medicine plant, the fermented products, antibacterial activity and internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequence of gyzy-9 were studied by HPLC analysis, paper disc method and cluster analysis respectively. The results of HPLC showed that gyzy-9 could produce homoharringtonine. Additionally, the extracts from its ferment broth and mycelium pellet showed the bacteriostasis on Staphylococcus epidermidis and Bacillus subtilis was stronger as the inhibition zone diameter was wider than IS mm. The strain gyzy-9 was identified as Phanerockaete sp. Based on the morphological traits and ITS sequence cluster. This research was important for further study on the officinal components production.
