Effect of Different EBR Treatments on Plant Growth and Photosynthesis of Potato under Hypoxia Stress
The effect of different EBR (2, 4—epibrassinolide) treatments on the growth and development of potato (Solatium tuberosum L. Favorita) plant under hypoxia stress was studied. The results showed that EBR could improve the growth of potato plant under hypoxic stress. In the early stage of EBR treatment, high concentration of EBR could significantly promote plant height and leaf area of potato plant; while in the later stage, low concentration of EBR had obvious promoting effect. There was a significant increase in the plant stem width and stolon number when treated with 0.050 and 0.100 mg/L EBR; 0.050 mg/L EBR had the most obvious promoting effect on leaf photosynthesis and root length. But EBR had no obvious influence on the branch number of potato plant under hypoxia stress. Therefore, the optimal concentration of EBR was 0.050 mg/L, which could promote the growth and development of potato plants under hypoxia stress.
