Analysis on Consistency Among the Main Components of Yield Per Plant of Allium tuberosum
72 hybrids combinations were obtained from 9 Allium tuberosum Rottler. Ex Spreng. Varieties with different characters, and grouped into low-yield group, mid-yield group and high-yield group by single characteristic method of Nair grouping. The relationship among the main components of yield per plant in each group was analyzed through correlation and path analysis. The results indicated that plant height and sheath thickness were the two main characters affecting the yield per plant. With the increase of yield, the influence of plant height was weakening; while the influence of sheath thickness was strengthening. Plant height and sheath thickness could be used as the major characters for breeding new A. Tuberosum culti-vars with high yield and high quality.
