In order to evaluate and utilize the tobacco material rationally,the tobacco K326 from tobacco-growing area in Dali was chosen as the subject studied.The cluster analysis was used to classify according to the position,and the final conformity evaluation results were determined by integrating the result of the three parts.The feasibility of the evaluation method was validated by using the sensory properties.The results showed that the optimum areas where grew tobacco material were Linchang,Longmen,Yonghe,Qichang,Longjie of Yongping county and Jiuzhou of Yunlong county; the good areas were Chalu,Shuixie,Beidou,Changjie,Bonan of Yongping county and Shunbi,Longtan,Jijie of Yangbi county and Wanqiao of Dali city; the inferior areas were Fuyuan of Yangbi county and Lianhua of Yongping county.Sensory evaluation results showed that the compositive properties and the major portion of the indexes which come from the optimum and good areas were better than which come from the inferior areas,it was in accordance with the classification result.It showed the evaluation method was a feasible one.
