The β-CD assisted extraction was used to extract total flavonoids from by-products of tea dust-tea.Based on the single factor experiment, the effects of material-to-solvent ratio,β-CD content and extraction temperature on the extraction efficiency of total flavonoids were investigated with the Box-Behnken experiment and the response surface analysis.A quadratic polynomial model was established and verified. The optimal conditions of extracting total flavonoids were solid-to-solvent ratio of 1∶61.83 (g∶ mL),β-CD content of 8.27%,extraction temperature of 53℃.Under these conditions, the extraction efficiency of total flavonoids was 7.843%,close to the predicted value of 7.835%.Compared with the traditional boiling reflux method and ultrafine grinding extraction technology, the 3-CD assisted extraction was efficient, environment friendly with high extraction rate.
