Resources of Breeding Birds in Jiangxi Province and Its Avifauna Compsition
The resources of breeding birds in Jiangxi province and its avifauna composition were analyzed based on the previous studies and investigations of recent 8 years.The results showed that there were 255 species recorded which were belonged to 17 orders and 58 families.3 species including Ciconia boyciana,Tragopan caboti,Syrmaticus ellioti were belonged to first-grade protected species and 39 species were belonged to second-grade protected species.For the residence type,the percentage of resident birds (72.55%) was larger than that of summer migrants (27.45%).For the avifauna,the number of oriental elements (59.61%) was the most,and the second was widespread elements (29.02%).Almost all of the oriental elements,most of widespread elements and a small percentage of palaearctic elements were stayed in Jiangxi province for breeding.There were 8 bird species corrected for residence type.The largest number of breeding birds favored the woodland habitat (81.18%),followed by the village and farmland (57.25%) habitat.The most of Oriental elements (92.11%) prefered to the woodland habitat,while the palaearctic and widespread elements were more diverse in habitat preferences.
