Analysis of Correlation Between Bacteria Numbers and Pollutant Removal Rates in Artificia1 Wetlands
Wetland microbial communities plays an important role in the process of pollutant degradation in domestic wastewa-ter.By simulating the artificial wetland system, the correlation between removal rates of different pollutant in artificial wetland system without the vegetation cover and bacteria numbers in simulated wetland water was discussed. The results showed that, the wetland without vegetation cover have more significant purification on typical pollutants in domestic wastewater,in which the average removal rate of TN was 48.39%,the average removal rate of CODcr was 47.36%,the average removal rate of TP was 21.81%;and the bacteria numbers in simulated wetland water changed variably, showing a fluctuation trend of increase—decrease—increase;Through the correlation analysis, bacteria numbers have no significant correlation with the removal rate of TP (P>0.05,r<-0.3);but was significantly correlated with the removal rate of TN (P<0.05,r=0.507) and CODcr (P<0.01,r=0.549).
