Dynamic Changes of Berberine Content in Three Berberis Species in Datong County
Using the determination method of berberine content in sankezhen according to “Pharmacopoeia of People′s Repub-lic of China”, the berberine content in different organs of three Berberis species in Datong county of Qinghai province during different periods was tested. Result shows that the berberine content is the highest in root among different organs, and is the highest in October among different period. The berberine content in B. dasystachya Maxim. is higher than in the other two species. This research could provide scientific basis for comprehensive development and reasonable utilization of Berberis re-sources in Qinghai, as well as for the expansion of medicinal plants resources and medicinal parts.
