Codon Bias and Clustering Analysis of TRPM1 Gene in Different Species
Transient receptor potential melastatin-1 is a kind of nonselective cation channels,mainly through a divalent metal cations such as Ca2+.CodonW software was applied to analyze sequences of TRPMI gene in 15 kinds of mammals,comparing clustering of relative synonymous codon usage and phylogenetic tree of coding region.The result showed that GCC,CAC,ATC,CTG,AAC,CCC,CAG,TCC,GTG and TAC were found to have the use of codon usage bias,but there is no difference between species in the use of termination codon.Codon bias index,effective number of codon,GC-content and G+C content of the third codon position can affect the codon usage of TRPM1 gene in mammals.The two kinds of clustering results show that phylogenetic tree of coding region more accurately reflect the genetic relationship between the species.
