With the continuous development of social economy,the design concept of green neighbourhood has gradually attracted people's attention in order to improve people's living environment.Taking the West Nanjing Road in Shanghai as an example,this paper proposes urban design strategies for green neighbourhoods in ecological cities that adapt to different ecological environment elements from the aspects of climate,land,green vegetation and water conditions etc.,to make up for the deficiencies of current ecological urban planning,construct a scientific and effective green blocks planning method system,and explore ways to realize green ecological concepts at the neighbourhood level.
