Research on Collision Compatibility and Durability of a Micro Electric Vehicle in MPDB Condition
According to the 2020 edition E-NCAP requirements,LS-DYNA was used to simulate the collision of a certain micro electric vehicle under MPDB.Compatibility indexes SD,OLC,barrier break-down and durability indexes maximum front panel intrusion and peak B-pillar acceleration were includ-ed in the evaluation criteria.By varying bumper stiffness, front longitudinal beam stiffness, and ground clearance, the impact of these key vehicle parameters on collision compatibility and durability were ana-lyzed.The results indicate that higher bumper stiffness, lower longitudinal beam stiffness, and greater ground clearance contribute to better collision compatibility and improved durability for mini electric vehicles.Based on these findings, improvements were made to the mini electric vehicle. As a result, the modified vehicle maintains compatibility while reducing the maximum front bumper intrusion by 22.1%and decreasing peak B-pillar acceleration by 1.1%.
