Professional master's education plays a vital role in cultivating practical and innovative talents,holding equal importance to academic master's programs.The reform of China's professional master's entrance examination is driven by the increasing demand for high-level applied professionals,the ongoing enhancement of the postgraduate education system,and the expansion of professional master's enrollment.The evolution of the entrance examination—from diverse pilot schemes to joint exams and ultimately to a national unified exam—reflects the broader trends in postgraduate examination reform.In response to the emerging trend of differentiated graduate education,reforming the examination and enrollment process for professional master's programs is necessary.Taking advantage of the Degree Law,the reform should focus on strengthening the integration of industry and education in both the written and second-stage examinations.It is crucial to optimize the"dual tutor"system for professional master candidates,foster closer collaboration between university faculty and industry experts,and refine reexamination content to accommodate the distinct needs of full-time versus part-time professional master candidates.
