Influence of extreme weather on temperature and stress field of overflow dam section
The distribution of temperature and stress field of a hydropower station is simulated by numerical simulation during normal operation and extreme weather condition.The research results show that the thermal stress of the dam is greater in the normal operation period,especially in the summer,and the tensile stress in the top area on the left side of the substation tunnel is the largest,reaching 2.64 MPa,which exceeds the tensile strength of concrete.Under the influence of extreme weather,under the conditions of high temperature and water discharge,the tensile stress here will be further increased,reaching 2.93 MPa,which is easy to produce cracks.The cold wave in winter has a great influence on the dam surface,and the tensile stress of concrete near the anti-arc section increases from 1.6 MPa to 4.0 MPa,which exceeds the tensile strength.Therefore,extreme weather exacerbates the effect of temperature change on the dam,mainly changing the distribution of the surface temperature field of the dam,and forming larger temperature stress,which endangers the safety of the structure and needs sufficient attention.
