Analysis of drought evolution characteristics in the Daqing River water system based on SPEI
Under the influence of global warming, both the frequency and intensity of drought in the Daqing River water system have increased significantly. Therefore,it is crucial to elucidate its spatio-temporal evolution characteristics for effective flood control and disaster reduction. The multi-time scale standardized rainfall evapotranspiration index(Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index,SPED was calculated based on daily meteorological data from 10 stations in the Daqing River water system spanning 1958-2019,in order to analyze the temporal and spatial evolution characteristics of meteorological drought in the region during this period. The results show that:The SPEI in the Daqing River Basin during 1958-2019 showed a periodic fluctuation and a significant decreasing trend, and the degree of drought increased. From the SPEI value of seasonal scale, the trend of drought in summer is obvious, and the trend of mitigation in winter. From the analysis of drought frequency, mainly light drought and moderate drought, rarely severe drought and extreme drought.
