Elastoplastic failure mode analysis of arch dam body with multiple weak abutments
Arch dam is a space shell structure, which combines the dam body, foundation and abutment as a whole.Through the action of arch ring, the force is transferred to the mountains on both sides, and it is often built in the mountain canyon area, which is accompanied by the development of fault joints,high-stress slope and weak slope.During the construction of a log-spiral double-curvature arch dam,it is found that the multi-layer weak layer in the abutment of the left arch end tends to be destroyed under the action of gravity and thrust at the arch end, which poses a great threat to the safety and stability of the arch dam.In this paper, based on D-P criterion, the elastic-plastic failure modes of dam under special load and material weakening are analyzed by overload method and strength reduction method respectively, and the overload capacity and safety characteristics of dam are evaluated.
