Curriculum Reform of Listening and Speaking English Course in Higher Vocational International Cruise Stewards management Specialty
Chinese cruise tourism has entered into "golden decade" development, but there is a huge problem about the shortage of professional talents. The students graduated from the vocational colleges can not satisfy cruise companies’ requirements, especially for English language. Therefore, based on the analysis of Cruise talent requirements, the paper analyzed the current situation of Listening and Speaking English course in cruise stewards major, and found some problems in teaching English course for this major. Then according to these problems, the paper gave some recommendations on how to reform English Listening and Speaking course, in order to improve English language ability, and satisfying the needs from cruise companies.
