Effect of esketamine on postoperative hyperalgesia in patients with caesarean section under general anesthesia
Objective To study the effect of esketamine on postoperative hyperalgesia in patients with caesarean section under general anesthesia, thus providing an effective intervention scheme for patients with caesarean section under general anesthesia. Methods A total of 82 patients with cesarean section under general anesthesia admitted to the hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected. They were divided into experimental group(41 cases)and control group(41 cases)by single and double digit method.Patients in both groups underwent cesarean section under general anesthesia, and those in the experimental group were given a small amount of esketamine intravenously after epidural block.Patients in the control group received the same amount of normal saline intravenously after epidural block. The pain threshold in the forearm and the incision, recovery time, extubation time, dosage of analgesics, number of compressions, and the adverse events were compared between the two groups. Results The pain thresholds of experimental group around the forearm at 6h,12h and 24h were significantly higher than those of control group(all P<0.05).The pain threshold in the incision of experimental group at 6h,12h and 24h were significantly higher than those of control group(all P<0.05).The dosage of analgesic and times of compression in the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group(both P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of nausea, vomiting, dizziness and pruritus between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Esketamine can significantly improve postoperative hypersensitivity without increasing the risk of adverse events in patients with caesarean section under general anesthesia, and it is worthy of popularization and application.
