Research progress of microRNAs in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease
The pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease(PD)is complicated, which is linked with multiple pathophysiological mechanisms like the α-Synuclein accumulation, oxidative stress, abnormal apoptosis and neuroinflammation.MicroRNAs(miRNAs)are non-coding single-stranded RNAs encoded by endogenous genes.Their functions in the important life activities have been reported in the past decade. Moreover, abundant in vivo experiments in animal models and clinical trials have identified the role of miRNAs in the occurrence and development of PD.This review describes some important miRNAs involved in PD.
