Effect of an individualized intervention on elderly Parkinson's disease patients with orthostatic hypotension
Objective To explore the effect of an individualized intervention on elderly Parkinson's disease(PD)patients with orthostatic hypotension(OH).Methods A total of 90 elderly PD patients with OH admitted to our hospital from June 2020 to June 2022 were randomly divided into control group(n=45)and intervention group(n=45).Conventional nursing was applied to all patients, and those in the intervention group were additionally given the individualized intervention. The self-management level of OH,blood pressure drop, cognitive function and complications of the two groups were observed. Results Compared with those before intervention, the scores of the OH self-management questionnaire at 2 weeks of intervention were significantly elevated, which were significantly higher in the intervention group than those of control group(P<0.05).After 2 weeks of intervention, the systolic and diastolic blood pressure significantly decreased in both groups, which were significantly lower in the intervention group than those of control group(P<0.05).The score of Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale(MoCA)in the two groups significantly increased after 2 weeks of intervention, which were significantly higher in the intervention group than those of control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the intervention group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion An individualized intervention can improve the self-management level and blood pressure decline of elderly PD patients with OH,improve the cognitive function and reduce complications.
