Efficacy evaluation of new-style anterior and posterior vaginal wall repair combined with modified ischial spinous fascia fixation on pelvic organ prolapse
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of new-style anterior and posterior vaginal wall repair combined with modified ischial spinous fascia fixation on the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse(POP).Methods A total of 116 patients with vaginal apex prolapse admitted to Anqing Municipal Hospital from December 2020 to December 2021 were retrospectively selected. In the study group,fifty-eight patients were treated with new-style anterior and posterior vaginal wall repair combined with modified ischial spinous fascia fixation;while in the control group,fifty-eight patients were treated with transvaginal sacrospinous ligament fixation. The perioperative indexes(blood loss, operation time, urinary catheter retention time, hospital stay and hospitalization cost),the Pelvic Floor Disability Index(PFDI-20),the Urinary Incontinence Sexual Questionnaire(PISQ-12)score,the Pelvic Organ Prolapse Quantification(POP-Q)score,complications and 1-year recurrent rate were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time of the study group was significantly longer than that of the control group, and the blood loss was significantly less(P<0.05).One year after operation, the PFDI-20 score of the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and the PISQ-12 score was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).POP-Q indexes indicated that the most representative point C and point D were significantly different between the two groups before and after surgery(P<0.05).There were significant differences in the Ap points of POP-Q between the two groups before and after surgery(P<0.05).The complication rate and 1-year recurrent rate in the study group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Although the operation time of new-style anterior and posterior vaginal wall repair combined with modified ischial spinous fascia fixation is prolonged, the quality of life of patients can be significantly improved, the postoperative sex life is more satisfactory, and the complication rate and recurrent rate are lower.
