Objective To explore the effect of a holistic intervention on patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage and its influence on the negative emotion. Methods A total of 92 patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage treated in our hospital were taken as the research objects. They were randomly divided into the control group(routine intervention)and observation group(holistic intervention),with 46 cases in each group. The intervention effect was assessed using the Barthel index(BI),the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS),the self-made questionnaire to evaluate the mastery of patient's knowledge and rehabilitation exercise and awareness of treatment methods, and the Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA)scale.Negative emotion was assessed using the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and the Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS).Results There were no significant differences in the SAS and SDS scores before intervention between groups(P>0.05).The SAS and SDS scores in both groups were significantly reduced after intervention, which were significantly lower in the observation group than those of control group(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the BI and NIHSS score before intervention between groups(P<0.05).Significantly increased BI and decreased NIHSS score after intervention were detected in both groups, which were significantly pronounced in the observation group than those of control group(P<0.05).The mastery of patient's knowledge about hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage and rehabilitation exercise and awareness of treatment methods were significantly higher in the observation group than those of control group(P<0.05).The FMA scores of fingers, balance, upper and lower limbs in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The treatment compliance of the observation group was significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The holistic intervention in patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage can effectively alleviate the negative emotion with a significant intervention effect.
