Application of the whole-process standardized management in the prevention and treatment of incontinence-associated dermatitis in elderly patients with severe diseases
Objective To analyze the value of applying the whole-process standardized management in the prevention and treatment of incontinence-associated dermatitis(IAD)in elderly patients with severe diseases. Methods A total of 100 elderly patients with severe diseases admitted to our hospital from 2019 to 2020 were included as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into control group and research group, with 50 patients in each group.Patients in the control group were given routine management, and those in the research group were given the whole-process standardized management. The risk score, occurrence of IAD,healing and satisfaction before and after management were compared between groups. Results The risk scores before management were comparable between groups(P>0.05),which,after management, were significantly lower in the research group than those of the control group(P<0.05).The number of patients with mild, moderate and severe diseases in the research group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and the overall incidence of IAD was significantly lower(P<0.05).The duration of healing was significantly shorter in the research group than that of the control group(P<0.05),and the satisfaction level was significantly higher(P<0.05).Conclusion The application value of the whole-process standardized management in the prevention and treatment of IAD in elderly patients with severe diseases is high, which can effectively reduce the risk and incidence of IAD,accelerate the healing process and improve patient's satisfaction.
