Application of symptom self-assessment-guided graded psychological support in patients undergoing radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer
Objective To explore the effect of symptom self-assessment-guided graded psychological support in patients undergoing radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer.Methods A total of 80 patients treated with radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer from January 2019 to June 2021 were recruited.They were randomly divided into the control group and observation group,with 40 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were given routine psychological care,and those in the observation group were intervened with symptom self-assessment-guided graded psychological support.The intervention effects of the two groups were compared.Results The negative emotion score after intervention was significantly lower in the both groups than that before intervention,which was significantly lower in the observation group than that of the control group(P<0.05).The social support score after intervention was significantly higher in the both groups than that before intervention,which was significantly higher in the observation group than that of the control group(P<0.05).The General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES)score after intervention was significantly higher in the both groups than that before intervention,which was significantly higher in the observation group than that of the control group(P<0.05).The Herth Hope Index(HHI)in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The score of nurse-patient trust after intervention in the both groups was significantly higher than that before intervention,which was significantly higher in the observation group than that of the control group(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction score in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of symptom self-assessment-guided graded psychological support in patients undergoing radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer is effective,which can effectively improve the self-efficacy and hope level.
