Objective To evaluate the value of alpha-fetoprotein(AFP),carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),cancer antigen 72-4(CA724)and cancer antigen 12-5(CA125)combined with pepsinogen(PG)in early diagnosis and prognosis of gastric cancer. Methods A total of 96 patients with gastric cancer diagnosed from February 2017 to February 2019 were selected as the observation group.During the same period,106 patients with gastritis were included in the benign group, and 108 healthy subjects who underwent physical examination were included in the control group. The data difference and positive rate of serum AFP,CEA,CA724,CA125 and PG among the three groups were analyzed and compared.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves and area under the curve(AUC)were used to evaluate the diagnostic value of these markers in gastric cancer. Results The mean levels of CEA,CA125 in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the benign group and control group(P<0.05).CA724,PG Ⅰ and PGR in the observation group were significantly lower than those of other two groups(P<0.05),while no significant difference was detected in PG Ⅱ between the observation group and benign group, the observation group and control group(P>0.05).The positive detection rates of CEA,CA125,CA724 and PGR in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the benign group and control group(P<0.05).The positive detection rate of AFP,CEA,CA724,CA125 combined with PR was significantly higher in the observation group than that of benign group and control group(P<0.05).The AUC of a single detection of CEA,CA724,PG Ⅰ and PGR in diagnosing gastric cancer was relatively large. The AUC of their combined detection was 0.773,showing a higher diagnostic performance in gastric cancer. Conclusion This study highlights the importance of detecting CEA,CA125,CA724,and PGR in the early diagnosis of gastric cancer, especially their significant differences between tumor patients and non-tumor patients.A combined detection of these markers shows a higher diagnostic performance, providing a strong support for early screening and diagnosis of gastric cancer, and it is expected to be widely used in clinical practice.
