Value of serum PLGF and sFlt-1 in the diagnosis and prognosis of preeclampsia in high-risk pregnant women
Objective To investigate the application value of serum placental growth factor(PLGF)and soluble vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-1(sFlt-1)on the diagnosis and prognosis of preeclampsia in high-risk pregnant women. Methods Ninety-eight cases of high-risk pregnant women who received regular obstetric examination and delivery in our hospital from June 2020 to June 2022 were enrolled. They were assigned into observation group(n=43)and control group(n=55)according to the presence or absence of preeclampsia.Patients in the observation group were divided into mild group(n=19)and severe group(n=24)according to the disease. All of these patients received the detection of serum PLGF and sFlt-1 levels, and the correlation between the indexes and the diagnosis and prognosis of preeclampsia was analyzed. Results Pregnant women in the observation group had significantly lower PLGF level, significantly higher levels of sFlt-1 and PLGF/sFlt-1 than those of the control group(all P<0.05).Pregnant women in The severe group had significantly lower PLGF level, significantly higher levels of sFlt-1 and PLGF/sFlt-1 than those of the mild group(all P<0.05).The high-risk pregnant women with neonatal asphyxia presented significantly lower PLGF level, but significantly higher levels of sFlt-1 and PLGF/sFlt-1 than those with fetal distress(P<0.05).The high-risk pregnant women with fetal distress presented significantly lower PLGF level, but significantly higher levels of sFlt-1 and PLGF/sFlt-1 than those with fetal growth restriction(P<0.05).The serum PLGF was negatively correlated with the severity of preeclampsia, while the sFlt-1 was positively correlated with the severity of preeclampsia(P<0.05).The serum PLGF was negatively correlated with the neonatal asphyxia, fetal distress, fetal growth restriction, and negatively correlated with sFlt-1(P<0.05).Conclusion Serum PLGF and sFlt-1 levels are closely related to the occurrence and development of preeclampsia. The detection of serum PLGF and sFlt-1 levels can provide reliable reference for the evaluation of diagnosis and prognosis in preeclampsia.
