Effect of breathing training combined with multiform health education on clinical rehabilitation quality and psychological state of COPD patients with respiratory failure
Objective To investigate the effect of breathing training combined with multiform health education on the clinical rehabilitation quality and psychological status of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)complicated with respiratory failure. Methods One hundred COPD patients with respiratory failure admitted to our hospital from March 2021 to March 2022 were recruited and randomly assigned into the observation group(n= 50)and the control group(n = 50).All patients were managed by routine nursing, and those in the observation group additionally received breathing training combined with multiform health education. The changes in pulmonary function, exercise endurance, dyspnea score, disease cognitive level, quality of life and psychological resilience of the two groups were included as comparators. Results After intervention, the patients in the two groups presented significantly higher forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),forced vital capacity(FVC)and peak expiratory flow(PEF),significantly increased the 6-min walk distance(6WMD),significantly decreased modified Medical Research Council(mMRC)dyspnoea score than those of before treatment(all P<0.05),and the improvements were more pronounced in the observation group than those of the control group(all P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of drug treatment, general knowledge, personal protection and other related knowledge in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The St.George's Respiratory Questionnaire(SGRQ)score and sychological resilience score were significantly higher than those of before treatment(both P<0.05),and the improvements were more pronounced in the observation group than those of the control group(both P<0.05).Conclusion For COPD patients with respiratory failure, breathing training combined with multiform health education can effectively improve the level of psychological resilience and promote the improvement of clinical rehabilitation quality.
