Effect of positive psychology intervention in reducing the fear of cancer recurrence and improving the quality of life in patients with refractory acute leukemia during chemotherapy
Objective To analyze the effects of positive psychology intervention in patients with refractory acute leukemia(RAL)during chemotherapy.Methods Totally 65 patients with RAL treated in our hospital were divided into group A(31 cases,routine intervention)and group B(34 cases,positive psychology intervention)by envelope method with digital serial number.The intervention effect of the two groups was compared.Results After the intervention,the Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Short Form(FoP-Q-SF)scores of group B(possible recurrence of anxiety disease:[1.26±0.37]points,stress before regular review:[1.23±0.31]points,fear of drug damage to health:[1.24±0.35]points,anxiety disease affecting work:[1.26±0.34]points,total score:[15.24±3.73]points),the 36-Item Short Form Health Survey(SF-36)scores(physical function:[15.63±2.26]points,social function:[7.72±1.23]points,physiological function:[23.35±3.21]points,psychological function:[20.48±2.26]points,mental health:[23.46±3.27]points),Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMD)scores(depression:[0.86±0.23]points,obsessive-compulsive symptoms:[0.84±0.25]points,dyssomnia:[0.87±0.24]points,inferiority:[0.83±0.22]points,paranoid symptoms:0.85±0.27 points),the Herth Hope Index(HHI)score and complication rate were significantly better than those in group A(P<0.05).Conclusion Positive psychology intervention can effectively improve the fear of cancer recurrence and negative psychological state of patients with RAL,improve the quality of life and level of hope,and prevent complications to a certain extent.
