Objective To construct the preventive nursing strategies for preventing medical adhesive-related skin injury(MARSI)in patients managed by peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC).Methods Articles and quality assessments reporting MARSI in patients managed by PICC published from 2018 to 2022 were searched in China National Knowledge Internet(CNKI),VIP,Wanfang,Google Scholar,Cochrane Library, and Up To Date.An in-hospital decision-making group was created and responsible for assessing the quality of enrolled literatures and designing two-round expert inquiry questionnaire.Survey data were analyzed to determine the optimal location of PICC and nursing strategies for preventing MARSI in patients managed by PICC.A total of 81 patients managed by PICC in our hospital were divided into control group(n=41)and experimental group(n=40),who were intervened by different nursing strategies. The incidence of MARSI between the two groups was compared. Results After two rounds of consultation, totally 31 preventive nursing strategies were constructed for MARSI in patients managed by PICC.The coefficient of variation(CV)of the importance scores and operability scores of all items ranged 0.01-0.11 and 0.09-0.38,respectively(W=0.56 and 0.59,respectively;χ2=304.51 and 318.86,respectively;both P<0.001).The operability and importance scores of all items were consistent. After the intervention, the incidence of MARSI in the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group(2.50%[1/40]vs 14.63%[6/41],χ2 = 2.613,P = 0.045).Conclusion The construction of preventive nursing strategies for preventing MARSI in patients managed by PICC is feasible, which can lower the incidence of MARSI,meet the clinical needs and promote the development of standardization of nursing operations.
