With the global prevalence of myopia increasing year by year and the inconvenience of frames and corneal contact lenses in daily life,corneal refractive surgery has become a common refractive correction treatment modality due to its excellent safety,efficacy,predictability and long-term stability.However,a large number of patients may experience short-term dry eye discomfort after surgery,and postoperative dry eye complications are one of the common and needed problems.Dry eye only mildly affects visual acuity in the early stage,but can develop into corneal damage if it continues to progress,which can seriously affect patients'post-refractive surgery treatment results and daily life,and therefore clinical research on post-refractive dry eye has been increased.There are many factors affecting the occurrence of post-refractive dry eye,and timely and effective management is important to promote visual recovery and reduce the risk of secondary complications.In this article,we review the pathogenesis,diagnosis and prevention measures of post-refractive dry eye.
