Application of an individualized vascular puncture atlas to maintenance hemodialysis patients with arteriovenous fistulas
Objective To explore the application of an individualized vascular puncture atlas to maintenance hemodialysis patients with arteriovenous fistulas. Methods A total of 86 maintenance hemodialysis patients admitted from January 2021 to January 2023 were prospectively selected. They were randomly divided into the control group and test group, with 43 cases in each group.Patients in both groups received routine care and rope ladder puncture, while those in the test group were managed by an individualized vascular puncture atlas. The success rate of one-time puncture during dialysis, service life of arteriovenous fistulas during dialysis and incidence of adverse events were observed and compared between the two groups. The self-made satisfaction questionnaire was used to survey the puncture satisfaction of the two groups. Results Significantly higher success rate of one-time puncture during dialysis, longer service life of arteriovenous fistulas during dialysis and lower incidence of adverse events were detected in the test group than those of the control group(P<0.05).In addition, the overall satisfaction of the test group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of an individualized puncture atlas in the puncture of arteriovenous fistulas in maintenance hemodialysis patients can effectively improve the success rate of one-time puncture, prolong the service life of arteriovenous fistulas, reduce the occurrence of adverse events like bleeding at the puncture point and stenosis of the fistula, and improve patient's satisfaction.
