Objective To explore the effect of early warning grading combined with bundles of care on clinical efficacy and complications in patients with acute epiglottitis. Methods A total of 96 patients with acute epiglottitis treated in 2022 were recruited. They were divided into the control group(n=50)and study group(n=46)based on the equal number grouping method. The early warning grading was applied to all patients, and routine nursing and bundles of care were respectively applied to patients of control group and study group.Nursing outcomes were compared between groups. Results The incidence of complications after nursing in the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05),while the treatment rate and nursing satisfaction were significantly higher(P<0.05).The time of improvement of severe edema of epiglottis, dyspnea, dysphagia and sore throat was significantly shorter in the study group than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The early warning grading combined with bundles of care significantly enhances the treatment rate and shortens the time to relieve the dyspnea in patients with acute epiglottitis, which reduces the incidence of complications and enhances the nursing satisfaction, and worthy of clinical application.
