Effect of risk management based on the graded pulmonary rehabilitation care program on patients with community-acquired pneumonia and its preventive effect on complications
Objective To explore the effect of risk management based on the graded pulmonary rehabilitation care program on patients with community-acquired pneumonia(CAP)and its preventive effect on complications Methods This study was a prospective, randomized controlled trial.A total of 70 CAP patients admitted to Beijing Friendship Hospital,Capital Medical University from November 2022 to May 2023 were enrolled and divided into an experimental group(n=35)and a control group(n=35)using a random number table. The patients in the control group received routine risk management, while those in the experimental group received risk management based on the graded pulmonary rehabilitation care program up till hospital discharge. The blood gas indexes, total incidence of complications, symptom improvement time, hospitalization time,Generic Quality of Life Inventory-74(GQOLI-74)scores were included as comparators. Results None of the arterial blood gas indexes differed significantly between groups before intervention(P>0.05).After intervention, the patients in the two groups presented significantly lower partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2)and blood lactate levels, and significantly higher oxygenation index(OI)than those before intervention, and the improvements were more pronounced in the experimental group than those of the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the patients in the experimental group presented significantly lower the total incidence of complications, and significantly shorter time to symptom improvement and hospitalization relative to the control group(all P<0.05).Before intervention, there was no significant difference in GQOLI-74 scores between groups(P>0.05).After intervention, the patients in the two groups presented significantly higher the GQOLI-74 scores than those before intervention, and the increase was more in the experimental group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The risk management based on the graded pulmonary rehabilitation care program in CAP patients can improve lung function, effectively prevent complications, preferably and faster relieve main symptoms, promote pulmonary rehabilitation, and improve quality of life.
