Objective To investigate the influencing factors for humanistic care ability of clinical nurses based on the linear regression analysis.Methods A total of 500 clinical nurses in Guidong People's Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from January 2022 to May 2022 were selected as the study subjects.The Caring Ability Inventory(CAI),Emotional Intelligence Scale(EIS),and Supportive Communication Scale(SCS)were used to assess nurses'caring ability,emotional intelligence,and supportive communication ability,respectively.Self-administered questionnaires were used to investigate nurses'personal situation and family background:including family economic status,sense of professional interest,work environment,health and care experience and caring learning.Influencing factors for humanistic care ability of clinical nurses were analyzed using linear regression based on univariate analysis.Results The survey results of 500 nurses showed that the scores of cognitive level dimension,courage dimension,patience dimension and total CAI scores were(80.96±12.85),(55.85±13.85),(60.054±10.75)and(195.75±28.86)points,respectively.There were no significant differences in the total CAI scores in nurses of different gender,age,educational level,marital status,and personality(P>0.05).There were significant differences in the total CAI scores among nurses of different political outlook,years of working experience,and employment form(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the total CAI scores among nurses with different family economic status,family health status,occurrence of adverse events at work,experience of hospitalization,experience of caring for patients,and willingness to engage in nursing profession(P>0.05).There were significant differences in the total CAI scores among nurses with different love of nursing profession,importance of leadership,monthly income,relationship with colleagues,familiarity with humanistic care content,training in humanistic care,emotional intelligence,and supportive communication skills(P<0.05).The regression equation was:Y=37.65+4.76×political appearance×1.86×years of work+5.54×employment form(establishment)+3.75×favor of nursing profession+6.17×leadershipimportance+4.34×monthly income+2.86×relationship with colleagues+3.65×familiarity with humanistic care content+5.75×acceptance of humanistic care training+5.86×emotional intelligence+7.44×supportive communication skills(R2=0.564,F=17.86).Conclusion Nurses have a medium-level awareness,and low-level courage dimension,patience dimension and total CAI scale scores.Political appearance,years of work,form of employment,fondness of nursing profession,leadership importance,emotional intelligence,and supportive communication ability may affect the level of humanistic care of nurses.
