Objective To explore the effect of multi-dimensional intervention model based on the use and satisfaction theory on primiparas with natural childbirth. Methods A total of 120 primiparas with natural childbirth in our hospital from January to December 2022 were selected, and they were randomly assigned to control group(routine intervention,n=60)or intervention group(multi-dimensional intervention model based on the use and satisfaction theory,n=60).Both groups were intervened until 3 months after discharge. The hospitalization time and postpartum lochia excretion time of the two groups were compared. The changes in negative emotions(assessed by self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and edinburgh postnatal depression scale[EPDS])and parenting self-efficacy(assessed by parenting sense of competence scale[PSOC])before and after intervention were compared. The incidence of postpartum complications during maternal intervention was assessed between groups. Results There was no statistical significant difference in the hospital stay and postpartum lochia clearance time between the two groups(P>0.05).After intervention, the SAS score and EPDS score in the two groups decreased significantly compared to before intervention, and the decrease was more significant in the intervention group(P<0.05).After intervention, the PSCS scores of both groups of postpartum women increased significantly compared to before intervention, and the intervention group was significantly higher than the control group for the PSCS scores(P<0.05).During the intervention period, neither group of primiparas experienced any complications. Conclusion The multi-dimensional intervention model based on the use and satisfaction theory can effectively alleviate the anxiety and depression of primiparas with natural childbirth, and improve the self-efficacy of childcare.
