Effect of enterostomal therapists-oriented case management model on patients underwent enterostomy
Objective To explore the effect of enterostomal therapists(ET)-oriented case management model on discharged patients underwent enterostomy under the guidance of new extended service mode.Methods A total of 120 patients underwent enterostomy in the Anorectal Surgery Department of the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University from June 2020 to June 2023 were selected as the research objects.They were randomly assigned to the control group(n=60)and observation group(n=60).Routine continuous nursing service,and ET-oriented case management model plus implemented case management service after discharge were applied to control group and observation group,respectively.After 3 months of intervention,the general self-efficacy,adaptation level and nursing quality satisfaction of the two groups were compared.Results The general self-efficacy,adaptability and satisfaction with nursing quality of patients in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion ET-oriented case management model can provide professional nursing guidance and psychological and emotional support for patients underwent enterostomy in all directions and at multiple levels.Moreover,it improves their general self-efficacy,adaptation level,satisfaction,and the overall quality of life.
