Application of operating room management based on quantitative evaluation strategy in internal fixation of femoral intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly
Objective To explore the application effect of operating room management based on quantitative evaluation strategy in internal fixation of femoral intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly. Methods Eighty elderly patients admitted to the People's Hospital of Rugao for internal fixation of intertrochanteric femoral fractures, with the time period from March 2022 to March 2023,were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into the control group and observation group, with 40 cases in each group.Patients in control group were managed by routine nursing care in the operating room, and those in observation group were additionally intervened by the operating room management based on quantitative assessment strategy. The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results The relevant surgical indicators of the observation group were significantly better than those of the control group(P<0.05).At 8 weeks postoperatively, the Harris Hip scores of both groups were significantly higher than those at 1 day postoperatively, which were significantly higher in the observation group than those of the control group(P<0.05).At 3 days postoperatively, the Visual Analog Scale(VAS)scores of both groups were significantly lower than those at 1 day postoperatively, which were significantly lower in the observation group than those of the control group(P<0.05).One month after discharge, the quality of life scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The intraoperative instrument delivery error rate in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(2.50%[1/40]vs 17.50%[7/40],P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that of control group(20.00%vs 47.50%,P<0.05).The nursing care satisfaction scores were significantly higher in the observation group than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of operating room management based on quantitative evaluation strategy has a significant effect on the internal fixation of femoral intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly, which can effectively improve the postoperative quality of life.
