Effects of individualized nutrition combined with family follow-up intervention on exercise promotion and pregnancy outcome in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus
Objective To explore the effect of individualized nutrition combined with family follow-up intervention on exercise promotion and pregnancy outcome in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM).Methods Ninety-eight GDM patients admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to February 2022 were enrolled. They were divided into the control group(n=49)and the observation group(n=49)according to intervention methods. All patients were managed by routine intervention, and those in observation group were additionally given individualized nutrition combined with family follow-up intervention. The aim was to compare fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2-h postprandial glucose(2 hPG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),Chinese version of the Pregnancy Exercise Self-Efficacy Scale(P-ESES)scores,Summary of Diabetes Self-Care Activities(SDSCA)questionnaire scores, time spent in moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA),pregnancy outcome. Results After intervention, the levels of FPG,2hPG,and HbA1c decreased significantly in the both groups(P<0.05),but the dimension scores of P-ESES increased significantly(P<0.05),the improvements were more pronounced in the observation group compared to the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,SDSCA score of the both groups increased significantly(P<0.05),and spent time in MVPA longer significantly(P<0.05),which in the observation group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of postpartum hemorrhage and macrosomia,as well as the scores of neonatal Apgar increased significantly in observation group than those of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The individualized nutrition combined with family follow-up intervention can increase the amount of exercise during pregnancy, improve sugar levels, and promote maternal and child health in GDM patients,it has a satisfactory result.
