Cognitive status of automated external defibrillator among nurses
Objective To investigate the cognitive status of automated external defibrillator(AED)among nurses, thus providing data and suggestions for the operation training of nursing staff. Methods All nurses in a hospital were surveyed on the"sojump"questionnaire platform by using self-designed questionnaires. Results A total of 247 valid questionnaires were collected. After training, the mastery rate(76.51%vs 25.91%)and the rescue willingness(81.38%vs 50.61%)of AED by nursing staff were higher compared to before training. Conclusion The nurses in this hospital have a poor knowledge of AED,and the rescue willingness needs to be strengthened. The popularization of relevant legal knowledge and planned training can promote the mastery of AED application and other first aid knowledge,so as to enhance the willingness of nurses to rescue and improve the rescue rate of nurses for patients with cardiac arrest
