Impacts of problem-oriented nursing interventions on the self-care and rehabilitation efficacy of cerebral infarction patients treated with embolectomy
Objective To explore the impacts of problem-oriented nursing interventions on the self-care and rehabilitation efficacy of cerebral infarction(CI)patients treated with embolectomy. Methods A total of 82 CI patients who received the mechanical embolectomy in the hospital were selected as subjects. They were divided into the control group(n=41)and research group(n=41)based on the admission sequence.Regular nursing measures were applied to patients in both groups, and problem-oriented nursing interventions were additionally performed in patients of the research group. The Exercise of Self-Care Agency(ESCA)Scale,Stroke Self-Efficacy Questionnaire(SSEQ),National Institute of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS),and Barthel Index(BI)were adopted to assess the intervention efficacies. Results After the interventions, the scores of each dimension in the ESCA and SSEQ and their total scores were significantly higher in the research group than those of control group(P<0.05).Patients in the research group had significantly lower NIHSS score, but significantly higher BI than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Problem-oriented nursing interventions can effectively enhance the postoperative self-care of CI patients treated with embolectomy, improve their self-efficacy for postoperative rehabilitation, and promote the recovery of neurological functions and daily living ability.
