Serum levels of PTEN,CA125,sVEGFR1,and NG AL in patients with endometrial carcinoma and their relationship with pathological features
Objective To measure serum levels of phosphatase and tensin homologous gene(PTEN),carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125),soluble vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-1(sVEGFR1),and neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin(NGAL)on chromosome 10 deletion of patients with endometrial carcinoma(EC),and to explore their relationships with pathological features. Methods One hundred and twenty EC patients who underwent total hysterectomy with pathological diagnosis in the First Hospital of Handan from January 2019 to June 2021 were selected as the study group, and 80 patients with benign lesions of the endometrium in the same period were selected as the control group.Serum levels of PTEN,CA125,sVEGFR1,and NGAL were detected and compared between the two groups of patients with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Clinicopathological data were collected to analyze the relationship with serum PTEN,CA125,sVEGFR1,and NGAL.Results Serum CA125 and NGAL levels in the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group, and serum PTEN and sVEGFR1 levels were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Serum CA125 and NGAL levels were significantly higher, while serum PTEN and sVEGFR1 levels were significantly lower in patients with lower degree of differentiation(P<0.05).Serum PTEN was significantly higher in patients with clinical stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ than those with stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ(P<0.05).Patients with clinical stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ,lymph node metastasis, and infiltration depth ≥50%had elevated serum CA125 and NGAL levels and decreased serum sVEGFR1 levels(P<0.05).Serum PTEN was negatively correlated with clinical stage and positively correlated with the degree of differentiation(P<0.05).Serum CA125 and NGAL were positively correlated with clinical stage, lymph node metastasis, and infiltration depth, and negatively correlated with the degree of differentiation(P<0.05).Serum sVEGFR1 was negatively correlated with clinical stage, lymph node metastasis, and infiltration depth, and positively correlated with the degree of differentiation(P<0.05).Conclusion Serum levels of CA125,and NGAL increase and serum levels of PTEN and sVEGFR1 decrease in EC patients, which are all correlated with the pathologic features of EC,and can be used as potential biomarkers for the early diagnosis and disease progression of EC.
