Effect of PAC psychological resilience theory on treatment compliance in elderly diabetic patients
Objective To explore the effect of PAC(Probabilistic Analysis of Communication)psychological resilience theory on treatment compliance of elderly diabetic patients. Methods A total of 83 elderly diabetic patients who were treated in our hospital from January 2022 to October 2023 were randomly assigned to receive either routine nursing intervention(control group,n=41)or PAC psychological resilience theory nursing intervention plus routine nursing intervention(study group,n=42).The treatment compliance, psychological resilience, blood glucose index and quality of life were assessed between the two groups. Results After nursing, the total treatment compliance rate of the two groups was significantly higher than that before nursing, which in the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group(92.86%vs 75.61%,P<0.05).The total score of Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC)in the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Compared with before nursing, the levels of fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2-hour postprandial plasma glucose(2hPG)and glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c)in the two groups were significantly decreased, and with significant difference between groups(P<0.05).The total score of diabetes specific quality of life(DSQL)significantly decreased in both groups, and the decrease in the study group was more pronounced(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of PAC psychological resilience theory nursing can significantly improve the treatment compliance, blood glucose level and quality of life in the nursing intervention of elderly diabetic patients.
